About Us

Ready Meats Inc. is family-owned and operated in Northeast Minneapolis. The shop was opened in 1946 by the Ready brothers Jack and Dan, and their business partner Arnold Carlson. Since the beginning the shop had one mission: to provide their local community with high-quality meats and friendly service. Ownership has passed from generation to generation, always keeping family and community in mind and heart.

Meet the Owners

Owner Dave Anderson has been with Ready Meats for over 30 years. Friendly and personable, Dave’s knack for warm conversation makes him a friend to all those who shop at Ready’s. His keen business sense keeps the traditional Ready Meats spirit alive and well, while innovating to best serve the needs of all members of the Twin Cities community.

Owner Ryan Nalezny has been with Ready Meats for over 20 years and has worked his way up from dishwasher, to butcher, to owner. Passionate and thoughtful, Ryan adds a modern touch to Ready’s classic feel. Kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, Ryan is a master craft butcher that can recommend the perfect cut of meat for any culinary project you’re working on, and he does so with a smile.

Meet our Counter Staff

Butcher Casey Carlson has been at the shop since 2017 and is Head Sausage Maker at Ready’s. Casey’s loud and friendly personality brightens all interactions with those he serves.

Butcher Vince “Vinnie” Yahrmatter started with the company in 2019. His unique humor and wit adds levity to the atmosphere of the shop and keeps the spirit of local business alive.

Brennan Kelley has been working at the shop for over three years. He’s a master at preparing Ready’s specialty dishes and is always serving customers with a friendly smile.

Babe Brandvold has been with Ready’s for over 25 years and has been a staple of the store’s friendly atmosphere with her warm smile and sharp humor.
